We are taught that we must become upright people who, in God’s sight, are blameless and fully keep His commandments. “In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly” [(Modern Translation: “When Herod was king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah of the division of Abijah, and his wife Elizabeth also came from the family of Aaron. They were righteous before God and faithfully kept all the Lord’s commandments and regulations without fault”)] (Luke 1:5–6). "아침에 나로 하여금 주의 인자한 말씀을 듣게 하소서 내가 주를 의뢰함이니이다 내가 다닐 길을 알게 하소서 내가 내 영혼을 주께 드림이니이다" (시편 143:8).
지금 오는 주일 교회 주보를 작성하고 있는데 성경문답 부분을 하다가 시편 143편 8절 말씀이 제 마음에 다가왔습니다. 실제로 저의 신앙 생활에 있어서 하나님의 크신 은혜는 "아침에 나로 하여금 주의 인자한 말씀을 듣게 하"고 계시다는 것입니다. 저에게 있어서 새벽기도회는 큰 도움과 힘이 되고 있습니다. 특히 새벽기도회 때 묵상하고 전하고 다시 묵상하면서 말씀 묵상 글을 쓰는게 저에겐 큰 힘과 도움이 되고 있습니다. 그 이유는 그 말씀 묵상을 통해서 주님께서는 저로 하여금 주님의 인자한 말씀을 듣게 하고 계시기 때문입니다. 그리고 주님께서는 그 들려주시는 말씀을 통하여 저로 하여금 주님을 의뢰케 하실 뿐만 아니라 제가 다닐 길을 알려주시고 계시기 때문입니다. 그러므로 저는 이 순간에도 이 시편 143편 8절의 귀한 말씀을 받고 주님께 제 영혼을 드립니다.
