God’s love, which is stronger than death, is causing me to continue walking the path of the mission the Lord has given me (John 6:1–15). “At that very time some Pharisees came and said to Him, ‘Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill You.’ He replied, ‘Go tell that fox, “I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.” In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 나 같은 탕자를 사랑하시는 하나님 아버지의 마음을 엿봅니다.
아버지가 아직 살아 계신데 자기 몫으로 돌아올 재산을 미리 받아서 먼 나라로 가서 창녀들과 놀아나면서 방탕한 생활로 아버지의 재산을 모두 날려버리고 굶어 죽는 궁핍함 속에서 제정신이 들어 "하늘과 아버지께 죄를 지어 이젠 아버지의 아들이라고 할 자격도 없습니다. 다만 저를 일꾼의 하나로 써주십시오"라고 한 둘째 아들이 "죽었다가 다시 살아났고 잃었다가 다시 찾았다"고 살찐 송아지를 잡아 종들과 함께 먹고 즐거워하고 기뻐하는 아버지의 마음을 통해 나 같은 탕자를 사랑하시는 하나님 아버지의 마음을 엿봅니다(누가복음 15:11-32, 현대인의 성경).
