약을 행한 다윗 왕과 아합 왕
"여호와 보시기에 악"을 행한 다윗 왕(삼하11:27) ["심히 아름다워 보이는" "여인이 목욕을 하는"것을 보므로(2절)], 그는 우리아를 죽이고 그의 아내인 밧세바를 빼앗아(12:4, 9-10) 자기 아내로 삼았습니다(11:27). 하나님께서 나단 선지자를 보내시사 다윗 왕을 책망하셨을 때 다윗은 "내가 여호와께 죄를 범하였노라"고 자복하므로 죄 사함을 받아 죽지는 않게되었지만 다윗이 낳은 아이는 죽었습니다(12:13-14, 18). 다윗 왕은 "나이가 많아 늙"어(왕상1:1; "그의 조상들과 함께 누워 다윗 성에 장사"되었습니다(2:10).
