어리석은 암논은 몹시 다말을 사랑하여 그녀를 욕보인 것보다 그녀를 증오심으로 미워하여 쫓아 보내는 것이 더 큰 죄인 줄 몰랐습니다(사무엘하 13:15-16, 현대인의 성경).  어리석은 자의 무지함은 모든 사람에게 자기 어리석음을 드러냅니다(전도서 10:3, 현대인의 성경).  그러면서도 어리석은 자는 자기의 수치를 알지 못합니다(참고: 스바냐 3:5, 현대인의 성경).
