주님이 우리에게 이미 내려 주신 축복들을 만족하지 못하는 마음은 욕심과 탐심을 낼 위험이 참 많습니다.
왜 “양과 소를 아주 많이 가진
부자”는 자기 집에 찾아온 손님 한 분을 대접함에 있어서 “자기의 양과
소는 아까워서 잡지 못하고 한 마리밖에 없는 그 가난한 사람의 암 양을 빼앗아 다가 그것을 잡아서 손님을 대접”한 것일까요? (사무엘하 12:1-4, 현대인의 성경) 혹시 그 부자의 욕심과 탐심 때문은 아닐까요? 욕심이란 자기가 소유하고 있는 아주 많은 양과 소는 아까워서
잡지 못하게 한 것이요, 탐심이란 그 가난한 사람의 암 양을 빼앗은 것입니다. 주님이 우리에게 이미 내려 주신 축복들을 만족하지 못하는
마음은 욕심과 탐심을 낼 위험이 참 많습니다.
