은혜를 호의로 갚는 것은 좋은 일이지만 ...





상대방이 나에게 은혜를 베풀었으므로 나 또한 그 사람에게 호의를 베풀려고 했는데 그 사람이 나를 오해하여 나를 부끄럽게 만들므로 나의 비위를 거슬렸다면 나는 그 사람에게 어떻게 해야 하는 것일까요? 은혜를 호의로 갚는 것은 좋은 일이지만 호의를 오해하여 수치를 준다는 것은 나쁜 일입니다(참고: 사무엘하 10:2-6, 현대인의 성경).
