간통의 죄를 덮으려다가 ...





다윗왕은 자신의 간통의 죄를 덮으려다가 결국 밧세바의 남편인 우리아를 의도적으로 죽이는 살인죄까지 범했습니다(사무엘하11:14-17).  과연 그 정도로 다윗은 자신이 범한 간통의 죄를 덮고 싶었던 것이었을까요 아니면 그 정도로 다윗은 밧세바를 원했던 것이었을까요?  야고보서 115절 말씀이 생각납니다: “욕심이 잉태한즉 죄를 낳고 죄가 장성한즉 사망을 낳느니라.”
