The Inseparable Love of God (1) [ Romans 8:38-39 ] Why can nothing separate us from the love of God? 1. Because God’s love is eternal. Romans 8:29a says: “For those whom He foreknew…” The word “foreknew” refers to before eternity began —before the creation of heaven and earth . The phrase “those whom He foreknew” does not simply mean knowing about someone intellectually, but rather loving them. In other words, it refers to “those whom God loved from eternity past.” Amos 3:2a says: “You only have I known of all the families of the earth.” If “known” merely meant intellectual knowledge, that would imply that God only knew Israel and did not know the other nations—which cannot be true, because the all-knowing God lacks knowledge of nothing. Therefore, “I have known you only” means “I have loved you only.” God loved Israel among all the nations of the earth. 비록 유다와 베냐민의 대적은 예루살렘 성의 재건 공사를 잠시 중단시키는데
성공했지만 유다와 베냐민 사람들의 지도자인 스룹바벨과 예수아가 두 선지자인 학개와 스가랴의 예언의 말씀을 듣고 하나님의 성전을 다시 건축하기 시작하매
하나님의 선지자들이 함께 있어 그들을 도왔습니다(에스라 5:1-2, 현대인의
성경). 세상 사람들이 우리 교회를
대적하여 우리가 하는 주님의 일을 잠시 중단시킬 수 있겠지만 우리는 그 와중에서도 하나님의 종들을 통하여 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 힘을 얻어 잠시
중단했던 주님의 일을 주님의 종들과 함께 다시 시작해야 합니다.
그 이유는 주님의 일은 예수 그리스도의 복음을 온 세상 사람들에게 전하는 주님의 일은 멈출 수가 없기 때문입니다. 주님께서 다시 오시는 그 날까지 주님께서는 우리를 통하여
예수 그리스도의 복음을 땅 끝까지 전하게 하실 것입니다!
하나님께서 우리와 함께 하셔서 우리를 지켜 주시기에 우리를 대적하는
자들은 우리의 예수 그리스도의 복음을 전하는 주님의 일을 중단시키지 못할 것입니다(참고: 에스라 5:5, 현대인의 성경).
