유다와 베냐민의 원수들은 크셀크세스(아하수에로) 즉위하자 바벨론에서 돌아온 유다와 예루살렘 주민들을 고소하는 편지를 보냈습니다. 또 아르타크셀크세스(아닥사스다) 시대에 비슬람, 미드레닷, 다브엘, 그리고 그들의 동료들이 아람어로 편지를 써서 황제에게 보냈으며 그것은 읽을 때에 번역되었습니다. 그리고 사령관 르훔과 서기관 심새가 예루살렘에 대한 고소장을
써서 아르타크셀크세스 황제에게 보냈습니다(에스라 4:6-8, 현대인의
성경). 저는 이 말씀을 묵상할 때
우리를 대적하는 자들은 연합 전선을 펴서 함께 우리를 공격한다는 것과 또한 법적으로 우리를 고소할 수도 있다는 것과 또한 우리 주위 사람들에게 우리에게
대해 거짓되고 나쁜 얘기들을 써서 편지를 보낼 수 있다고 생각합니다.
실제로 이런 일들이 교회 안에서 당회에서(목사님과 장로님들)
일어날 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 노회에서도 목사님들끼리 일어날 수 있다고 생각합니다.
