The Inseparable Love of God (1) [ Romans 8:38-39 ] Why can nothing separate us from the love of God? 1. Because God’s love is eternal. Romans 8:29a says: “For those whom He foreknew…” The word “foreknew” refers to before eternity began —before the creation of heaven and earth . The phrase “those whom He foreknew” does not simply mean knowing about someone intellectually, but rather loving them. In other words, it refers to “those whom God loved from eternity past.” Amos 3:2a says: “You only have I known of all the families of the earth.” If “known” merely meant intellectual knowledge, that would imply that God only knew Israel and did not know the other nations—which cannot be true, because the all-knowing God lacks knowledge of nothing. Therefore, “I have known you only” means “I have loved you only.” God loved Israel among all the nations of the earth. 우리가 미워할 때 ...

 우리가 미워할 때 ...



주님의 계명은 서로 사랑하는 것입니다(요일 3:11, 23).  그런데 우리는 주님의 계명에 불순종하여 서로 사랑하지 않고 미워할 때가 있습니다.

성경은 우리가 우리 형제/자매를 미워할 (15절) ... 

(1) 우리는 가인 같이 하는 것이요(12),

(2) 세상이 우리를 사랑할 것이요(13),

(3) 우리가 아직도 사망에 머물러 있는 것이요(14),

(4) 우리는 살인하는 (15)라고말씀하고 있습니다.

 

 

마디로, 우리가 우리 형제/자매를 미워할

 

우리는 가인 같이 살인하는 자입니다(12, 15).
