Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. 여러 가지 시험과 믿음의 시련을 통해서  자신이 얼마나 부족한지를 깨닫되  믿음이 부족하여 하나님께 마음을 품고( 마음으로는 하나님께서 기도를 들어주신다고 생각하지만, 다른 마음으로는 의심이 기도하고 있다는 것을 깨닫는 것입니다(야고보서 1:2-8).
