생명을 버릴 권한



유대인들은 사람을 죽이는 권한이 없어서 로마 총독 빌라도에게 예수님을 고소해서 죽이려고 했지만, 생명을 버릴 권한이 있으셨던 예수님께서는 예수님의 양들인 우리를 위해 스스로 목숨을 버리셨습니다.  우리가 이로써 사랑이 무엇인가를 알게 되었습니다(요한복음 10:11, 15, 18, 18:29-31; 요한일서 3:16, 현대인의 성경).
