In our hard-working, highly productive culture, we can sometimes feel like exhausted swimmers swept downstream in a fast-moving river, fighting to keep our heads above water, gasping for air. We get up early and stay up late. We never waste a minute. Our schedule is full, running here, running there, running late, running to catch up, running on empty, until we collapse in utter exhaustion. Underneath the satisfaction of being hard-working, hard-playing people is a weariness that’s desperate for the pace to relent so we can rest and recharge. 하나님을 경외하는 자들
하나님을 경외하는 자들은 오직 주님만이 인자하시고 진실하시므로 주님의 이름에만 영광을 돌리고 결코 자기 자신들에게는 영광을 돌리지 않습니다. 또한 하나님을 경외하는 자들은 하나님만 의지합니다. 그 이유는 하나님이 그들의 도움이시요 그들의 방패이시기 때문입니다. 하나님께서는 하나님을 경외하는 자들을 생각하사 그들에게 복을 주시고 그들과 그들의 자손을 더욱 번창하게 하십니다. 그러므로 성경은 그들은 천지를 지으신 여호와께 복을 받은 자들이라고 말씀하고 있습니다(시편 115:1, 11-15).
