솔로몬 왕은 세상의 어느 왕보다 지혜만 컸던 것이 아니라 왕으로서 가지지 말았어야 '많은 병마' '많은 아내' '많은 은금' 가지고 있었습니다(17:16-17; 왕상 10:23).   결과 그는 자신의 많은 지혜로 많은 병마와 많은 아내와 많은 은금의 유혹과 싸워 이겼어야 했는데 나이가 "많을 " 그의 많은 여인들이 그의 마음을 돌려 다른 신들을 따르게 하므로 하나님께 죄를 범했습니다(왕상11:4).
