The Inseparable Love of God (1) [ Romans 8:38-39 ] Why can nothing separate us from the love of God? 1. Because God’s love is eternal. Romans 8:29a says: “For those whom He foreknew…” The word “foreknew” refers to before eternity began —before the creation of heaven and earth . The phrase “those whom He foreknew” does not simply mean knowing about someone intellectually, but rather loving them. In other words, it refers to “those whom God loved from eternity past.” Amos 3:2a says: “You only have I known of all the families of the earth.” If “known” merely meant intellectual knowledge, that would imply that God only knew Israel and did not know the other nations—which cannot be true, because the all-knowing God lacks knowledge of nothing. 하나님에게는 숫자가 의미가 없습니다.  하나님은 하나님의 명령을 순종하는지에 의미를 두십니다.  심히 숫자의 사람들이 하나님의 명령을 거역하고 하나님을 버리므로 스스로 형통하지 못하게 하는 것보다 적은 무리의 사람들이 하나님의 명령을 순종하므로 하나님께서 형통케 하시는 것이 훨씬 낫습니다(역대하 24:20, 24).
