하나님을 경외하지 않으므로 악을 미워하지 않는 어리석은 죄인은 자기가 행한 악한 일에 징벌이 속히 실행되지 않으므로 죄를 범하고 범하여 번을 범죄하고도 여전히 살아 남을 있을지는 모르지만 그는 잘되지 못할 것입니다.  그러나 하나님을 경외하는 지혜로운 자는 악을 미워하므로 분명히 잘될 것입니다(잠언 8:13; 전도서 8:11-13, 현대인의 성경).
