여호수아 8장에 나오는 이스라엘 백성들이 아이 사람들과의 전쟁에서 마침내 승리한 이야기와 사사기 20장에 나오는 이스라엘 자손들이 자기들 동족인 베냐민 자손과의 전쟁에서 마침내 승리한 이야기의 비슷한 점들이 있습니다:

 

(1) 이스라엘 백성들은 매복을 했습니다(8:4; 20:9, 36).

(2) 이스라엘 백성들은 (거짓으로) 패하는 했습니다(8:15; 20:31).

(3) 아이 사람들이나 베냐민 자손들은 이스라엘의 유인 (작전) 또는 꾀임에 넘어갑니다( 8:6, 16; 20:32).
