교회 안에서도 "압살롬" 같은 사람이 있는 같습니다.  교인들의 마음을 도둑질해서 그들로 하여금 자기에게 쏠리게 후 목회자나 당회를 반대하는데  세력이 점점 커져서 "압살롬" 따르는 자들이 계속 불어나는데 그들은 "압살롬" 의도가 무엇인지 전혀 알지 못하고 있습니다(삼하 15:6, 11, 12, 현대인의 성경).
