God’s love, which is stronger than death, is causing me to continue walking the path of the mission the Lord has given me (John 6:1–15). “At that very time some Pharisees came and said to Him, ‘Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill You.’ He replied, ‘Go tell that fox, “I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.” In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 이 주님의 약속하신 때가 가까워졌습니다.
하나님께서 아브라함에게 약속하신 때가 가까와지자 하나님께서 아브라함에게
말씀하신 "내가
너로 큰 민족을 이루"겠다는 약속(창세기
12:2; 15:5)을 이루시므로 애굽에서 이스라엘 민족이 크게 번성하여 그 수가 굉장히 많아졌습니다(사도행전 7:17, 현대인의 성경). 그 결과로 이스라엘 백성은 애굽 사람들에게 괴롭힘을 당하고
학대를 받았습니다(출애굽기 1:11-13). "바로 이 때 모세가 태어났"고(사도행전 7:20, 현대인의 성경),
하나님께서는 모세를 부르시사(출애굽기 3-4장) 이스라엘 백성들을 애굽에서 인도하여 내었습니다(3:10-12; 11장). 모세보다 더욱
영광을 받을 만하신 예수님께서는(히브리서 3:3) 고난을 당하시고 십자가에
죽으시고 부활하시고 승천하시사 분명히 우리에게 "내가 진실로 속히 오리라"고 약속하셨습니다(요한계시록 22:20). 이 주님의 약속하신 때가 가까워졌습니다.
