Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. 다른 사람을 멸시하는 자기 자신이 의롭다고 믿고 있는 바리새인과 같은 사람은 자기 자신이 자기가 멸시하는 다른 사람과 같지 않음을 하나님께 감사 기도를 드립니다.  또한 그는 자기의 의로운 행위를 하나님께 과시하는 기도를 드립니다.   마디로, 그는 하나님 앞에서도 자기를 높입니다(누가복음 18:9-14, 현대인의 성경).
