A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. 주님께서 저에게 주신 약속의 말씀 두 개가 있습니다: (1) 요한복음 6장 1-15절 말씀(저 개인에게)과 (2) 마태복음 16장 18절 말씀(승리장로교회).
(1) 첫 번째 약속의 말씀은, 물고기 2마리와 떡 5덩어리 밖에 안되는 제 자신을 주님께 받칠 때에 주님께서 도구로 사용하시사 남자만 5,000명을 먹이신다는 약속이고(무슨 뜻인지 몰라 20년 넘게 말씀과 씨름을 했음.
조금 깨닫게 된 것은 생명의 떡이 되시는 예수님의 말씀을 주야로 묵상하여 나눌 때에 주님께서 그 묵상 말씀을 주님의 도구로 사용하신다는 것 같음),
(2) 두 번째 약속의 말씀은, 제가 담임 목사로 섬기고 있는 승리장로교회는 (a) 주님의 교회요 (b) 주님께서 세우신다는 약속입니다.
주님께서는 이 약속의 말씀들을 저를 통해서 뿐만 아니라 어쩌면 제 자녀를 통해서도 이루시지 않을까 하는 생각이 열왕기상 8장 15절을 읽다가 들었습니다.
