A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. In order to save fallen humanity, God first comes to us, sends His Son, and sends the Holy Spirit. He is the “missionary God” who sends. 세상은 어두운 세상이요 (요일1:5, 6; 2:8, 9, 11), 거짓된 세상이요(1:6, 8, 10; 2:4, 21, 22; 4:1, 6, 20), 미움의 세상이요(2:9, 11; 3:12-15; 4:20) 또한 악한 세상이요 불의한 세상입니다(1:9; 2:2, 13, 14, 16; 3:12; 5:17, 18, 19, 21).  그리고 세상에 있는 모든 것은 육신의 정욕과 안목의 정욕과 이생의 자랑입니다(요일 2:16).  그러므로 하나님께로 부터 우리는(5:1, 4),  거듭난(중생한) 예수 그리스도를 믿는 우리는(3:23) 세상이나 세상에 있는 것들을 사랑하지 않고(2:15) 오히려 믿음으로 세상과 싸워 승리하면서(5:4, 5) 오직 하나님의 뜻인(2:17) 예수 그리스도를 믿고 서로 사랑하므로(3:23) 영원한 생명을 땅에서도 부분적으로 누려야 합니다(2:17).
