The Inseparable Love of God (1) [ Romans 8:38-39 ] Why can nothing separate us from the love of God? 1. Because God’s love is eternal. Romans 8:29a says: “For those whom He foreknew…” The word “foreknew” refers to before eternity began —before the creation of heaven and earth . The phrase “those whom He foreknew” does not simply mean knowing about someone intellectually, but rather loving them. In other words, it refers to “those whom God loved from eternity past.” Amos 3:2a says: “You only have I known of all the families of the earth.” If “known” merely meant intellectual knowledge, that would imply that God only knew Israel and did not know the other nations—which cannot be true, because the all-knowing God lacks knowledge of nothing. Therefore, “I have known you only” means “I have loved you only.” God loved Israel among all the nations of the earth. 우리 주님의 양들은 목자되신 주님께서 우리에게 주신 말씀을 소중히 간직해야 합니다.  우리는 주님께서 우리에게 하시는 말씀에 귀를 기울이고  말씀에 순종하여 주님을 따라가야 합니다.  그러나 우리는 주님의 말씀과 위배되는 거짓 목자들의 거짓 말들을 듣지 말고 그들을 따라가지도 말고 오히려 그들을 피하고 떠나야 합니다(이사야 8:16, 19-20; 요한복음 10:3-5, 현대인의 성경).
