우리의 죄가 크고 우리의 허물이 많기 때문에 하나님께서 우리를 정당하게 징계하시고 우리를 전혀 벌하지 않은 채 그대로 내버려 두시지는 않으실 것입니다. 비록 우리가 하나님의 사랑의 징계로 인해 우리의 상처는 어느 누구도 고칠 수도 없고 치료할 수도 없을 만큼 중상이여서 우리를 고칠 희망이 없다 할지라도 하나님은 우리에게 "내가 너희를 치료하여 너희 상처를 고쳐주겠다"고 말씀하십니다. 하나님께서는 우리를 원상태로 회복시키시고 우리에게 자비를 베풀어 주실 것입니다. 하나님께서는 우리를 번성하게 하시고 영화롭게 하실 것입니다(예레미야 30:11-15, 17-19, 현대인이 성경).
