예수님의 소원대로 ...
예수님께서 제자들에게 "... 너희는 나를 누구라고 생각하느냐?"고 질문하셨을 때 시몬 베드로가 "주님은 그리스도시며 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이십니다"라고 대답했습니다. 이 시몬 베드로의 신앙 고백은 예수님의 말씀대로 "이것을 너에게 알리신(reveal) 분은 사람이 아니라 하늘에 계시는 내 아버지"이십니다(마태복음 16:15-17, 현대인의 성경). 그런데 저는 마태복음 11장 27절을 읽다가 시몬 베드로가 그리 고백할 수 있었던 것은 하나님 아버지께서 하나님의 아들이신 예수 그리스도의 "소원대로" 시몬 베드로가 하나님의 "계시(reveal)를 받"았기 때문이란 생각이 들었습니다. 즉, 하나님의 아들이신 예수 그리스도의 소원은 시몬 베드로가 하나님 아버지의 계시를 받아 "주님은 그리스도시며 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이십니다"라는 신앙 고백을 하게 된 것입니다. 시몬 베드로를 향한 예수님의 사랑을 느낍니다.
