우리의 옛 사람은 예수님과 함께 십자가에 못박혀 죽었습니다.  그 결과 우리의 죄의 몸이 죽어 다시는 우리가 죄에게 종 노릊 하지 않습니다.  우리는 죄에 대하여 이미 죽은 사람들요 죄에서 해방된 사람들입니다(로마서 6:6-7, 현대인의 성경).
