“Lord, Lord, open the door for us!”

“Lord, Lord, open the door for us!”

 

 

After the door to the wedding feast was shut, t

he five foolish virgins cried out, “Lord, Lord, open the door for us!”

But the groom replied, “I tell you the truth, I do not know you”

(Matthew 25:11-12, Korean Modern Bible).

As I meditate on this passage,

I am reminded of Matthew 7:21 from the New Translation:

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven,

but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven."

We must stay awake and be prepared for the return of the bridegroom, Jesus!
