If a human being tries to seat himself in the “place of honor,” he will ultimately be put to shame; but if he seats himself in the “lowest place” (the place of Jesus Christ),  God will exalt him.         “Now He began speaking a parable to the invited guests when He noticed how they had been picking out the places of honor at the table, saying to them, ‘When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for someone more distinguished than you may have been invited by him, and he who invited you both will come and say to you, “Give your place to this man,” and then in disgrace you proceed to occupy the last place. Repentance of the heart related to forgiveness of sins

Repentance of the heart related to forgiveness of sins

The beginning of the gospel (good news) of God's Son, Jesus Christ,

is that, as God spoke through the prophet Isaiah,

He sent John the Baptist in the wilderness to proclaim

repentance of the heart related to the forgiveness of sins,

which is a holistic and fundamental change (Hokma).

By doing so, God prepared the way of the Lord and made it straight

(Mark 1:1-4).

As we await, hope for, and expect the second coming of Jesus,

like John the Baptist, we must also proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ

(good news) in this world, like a wilderness,

while preaching repentance of the heart

related to the forgiveness of sins.

By doing this, we will prepare

the way for the Lord's return and make it straight.

Like John the Baptist and Jesus,

we must also proclaim, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near!"

[“The kingdom of heaven has come near! Repent!” (Korean Modern Bible)]

(Matthew 3:2; 4:17).
