Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 우리를 두려워하게 하십니다.   하나님께서는 우리가 괴롭힘과 학대를 받으면 받을수록 더 많이 번성케하시사 우리를 괴롭히며 학대하는 자들로 하여금 우리를 두려워하게 하십니다 ( 참고 : 출애굽기 1:12, 현대인의 성경 ).

학대받기 보다 대접 받는 우리들?

학대받기 보다 대접 받는 우리들?  기독교인들이 학대를 받으면 받을수록 더 많이 번성해야 하는 것이 아닌가요 ?   어떻게 이단들이 학대를 받으면 받을수록 더 많이 번성하고 있는 듯한 것인지요 ?   어쩌면 지금 우리 기독교인들이 학대를 받기보다 대접을 더 많이 받고 있어서 그런 것은 아닌지요 ? ( 참고 : 출애굽기 1:12)
