인간의 헛된 지혜조차도 ... 애굽 왕이 지혜롭게 하자고 한 것이 번성하고 매우 강한 이스라엘 백성들을 학대하되 그들에게 무거운 짐을 지게하고 어려운 노동을 하게하므로 그들을 괴롭게 한 것입니다 ( 출 1:7, 10, 11, 12,14). 그러나 하나님께서는 애굽 왕의 헛된 지혜도 사용하시사 고된 노동으로 말미암아 이스라엘 백성들로 하여금 부르짖게 하셨습니다 (2:23). 그리고 하나님께서는 그들의 고통의 소리를 들으시고 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 세우신 그의 언약을 기억하셨습니다 (24 절 ). 하나님께서는 이스라엘 자손을 돌보셨고 그들을 기억하셨습니다 (25 절 ). 괴로울 때 주님께 부르짖으므로 주님으로부터 기도 응답을 받아 고통 가운데서 건짐을 받길 기원합니다 . 인간의 헛된 지혜조차도 하나님의 주권적인 지혜 안에 있습니다 .
