Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. 과연 나는 자녀 양육을 제대로 하고 있는 것인가 ? “마땅히 행할 길을 아이에게 가르치라 그리하면 늙어도 그것을 떠나지 아니하리라” ( 잠언 22 장 6 절 ). 과연 내가 죽고 난 후에도 나에게 하나님께서 선물로 주신 딜런 , 예리 , 예은이가 늙어서도 떠나지 않을 만한 가르침을 나는 지금 가르쳐 주고 있는 것인가 ? 과연 나는 세 자녀들에게 마땅히 행할 길을 가르치고 있는가 ? 나는 여태것 잠언 22 장 6 절 말씀을 묵상할 때 마다 나 자신과 더불어 우리 교회의 부모님들에게 우리 자녀들에게 세 가지를 마땅히 가르쳐야 한다고 권면했었다 : 바른 가치관 ( Right Value) , 뚜렷한 목적관 ( Clear Purpose ), 그리고 영원한 인생관 ( Eternal View of Life ). 그런데 오늘 또 다시 잠언 22 장 6 절 말씀을 묵상하면서 나는 내 자녀들에게 한 다섯 가지를 마땅히 가르쳐야 한다는 교훈을 받게 되었다 . 그 다섯 가지 교훈이란 첫째로 많은 재물보다 명예가 더 좋다는 것이다 . 잠언 22 장 1 절을 보면 성경은 “많은 재물보다 명예를 택할 것이요 은이나 금보다 은총을 더욱 택할 것이니라”고 말씀하고 있다 . 성경은 은이나 금이나 많은 재물보다 명예와 은총 ( favor ) 을 더욱 택하라고 말씀하고 있다 . 노아가 생각난다 . 그는 하나...
