비록 우리가 이 세상을 떠날 때에는 빈손으로 떠나겠지만(전도서 5:15, 공동번역) 그러나 적어도 이 땅에 사는 동안에 사람들이(심지어 사랑하는 식구가) 우리를 빈손으로 돌려보내려고 한다 할지라도 하나님께서는 우리가 시련을 당하며 수고하는 것을 보시고 결코 빈손으로 돌아가게 하지 않으시고 오히려 넘치도록 축복해 주실 것입니다(참고: 창세기 31:42-43, 현대인의 성경).
