우리를 유심히 지켜보고 있는 사람들이 충분히 있을 수 있습니다. 느부갓네살 왕은 금 신상을 만든 후 엎드려 절하도록 명령했습니다 . “ 누구든지 엎드려 절하지 않는 사람은 즉시 뜨겁게 타는 용광로에 던져질 것 ” 이라고 말했습니다 . 그런데 다니엘의 세 친구들인 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고는 그 명령에 불복종했습니다 . 그것을 “ 몇몇 바빌로니아 사람들이 ” 느부갓네살 왕에게 “ 고발 ” 했습니다 ( 다니엘 3:1-12, 현대인의 성경 ). 저는 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 이 세상에서 예수님을 믿지 않는 자들 중 예수님을 믿는 우리를 유심히 지켜보고 있는 사람들이 충분히 있을 수 있다고 생각되었습니다 . 그들이 우리를 유심히 지켜보고 있는 이유는 혹시나 우리에게서 “ 잘못한 점을 찾아 ” 우리를 “ 고발 ” 하려고 하기 때문입니다 ( 참고 : 다니엘 6:4-5, 현대인의 성경 ).
