사위가 자신의 아내에 관하여 장인과 장모님에 대한 두려움이 있거나, 며느리가 시어머님이 자신과 남편과의 관계에 지나치게 개입해서 부부 관계를 힘들게 하는 것에 대한 두려움이 있다는 것은 부모님이 믿음으로 자식을 떠나 보내지 못했기 때문입니다(참고: 창세기 31:31).
