얼마나 큰 은혜인지 ... 우리는 우리의 죄는 깨닫지 못하고 있으면서 우리가 겪고 있는 죄의 결과만 알고 있기에 “만일 여호와께서 우리와 함께 하신다면 어째서 이 모든 일이 우리에게 일어났습니까 ? ”라고 하나님께 반문하고 있습니다 ( 사사기 6:13, 현대인의 성경 ). 그런데 여기서 우리가 못깨닫고 있는 매우 중요한 사실이 적어도 하나가 더 있습니다 . 그것은 다름 아닌 하나님께 사랑의 징벌을 받는 죄를 범한 우리와 하나님께서 함께 계시다는 사실입니다 . 다시 말하면 , 우리는 거룩하신 하나님께서 거룩하지 않은 죄인들과 함께 계시다는 그 자체가 얼마나 큰 은혜인지 깨닫지 못하고 있습니다 .
