믿음이 없이는 우리는 하나님의 말씀에 순종하지 않을 것입니다 . 믿음이 없이는 우리는 하나님의 말씀에 순종하지 않을 것입니다 . 그 이유는 우리는 두려움 속에서 우리가 보기에 좋은 데로 ( 그것이 하나님 보시기에는 나쁜 것인데도 불구하고 ) 결정하여 그 길을 선택할 것이기 때문입니다 . 그런데 우리가 선택하는 그 길은 하나님의 말씀에 불순종하는 것이요 잘못된 것입니다 . 그럼에도 불구하고 우리는 우리가 선택한 그 길을 고집할 것입니다 . 그 결과로 우리에게는 우리가 두려워하는 일이 일어날 것이며 우리는 하나님께서 내리시는 재앙을 피하지 못할 것입니다 ( 참고 : 예레미야 42:13-17, 현대인의 성경 ).
