사탄은 ... 사탄은 우리로 하여금 " 하나님의 일을 생각하지 아니하고 도리어 사람의 일을 생각 " 하게 만들고 있습니다 . 사탄은 우리로 하여금 예수님의 고난과 십자가의 죽으심과 부활을 생각하지 아니하게 만들고 있습니다 . 사탄은 우리로 하여금 예수님을 따름에 있어서 우리 자신을 부인하기 보다 인정하며 우리 자신의 고난의 십자가를 지기 보다 장식품 용 십자가를 지게 만들고 있습니다 . 사탄은 우리로 하여금 예수님과 복음을 위하여 우리 목숨을 잃는 것 보다 우리 목숨을 구원하게 만들고 있습니다 ( 마가복음 8:31-36).
