구원의 하나님은 우리를 건져주십니다 . 이집트 왕 바로의 딸 공주가 모세를 양자로 삼고 " 내가 그를 물에서 건져내었다 " 하고 그 이름을 " 모세 " 라고 지었습니다 ( 출애굽기 2:10, 현대인의 성경 ). 하나님께서는 모세를 사용하시사 출애굽 당시 홍해 바다를 갈라지게 하시사 이스라엘 자손이 마른 땅을 밟고 바다를 건너가게 하시사 구원해 주셨습니다 (3:21-22, 현대인의 성경 ). 하나님께서는 모세를 그의 이름의 뜻대로 사용하신 것입니다 . 하나님께서는 하나님의 아들 " 예수 " 님을 그의 이름의 뜻 [" 여호와는 구원이시다 " 또는 " 구원자 "( 마태복음 1:21)] 대로 사용하시사 우리를 구원해 주셨습니다 . 배에서 내려 물 위로 걸어서 예수님을 향해 가다가 파도를 보고 무서워 물에 빠져들어갔던 베드로가 예수님께 " 주여 나를 구원하소서 " 라고 외쳤을 때 예수님은 즉시 손을 내밀어 베드로를 붙잡으시사 그를 건져주셨습니다 ( 마태복음 14:29-31, 현대인의 성경 ). 구원의 하나님은 우리를 건져주십니다 .
