Only those who are born of God, having received Jesus Christ, the True Light, will never surrender to sin but, by the authority given to them to become children of God, overcome the world and bear holy fruit. “The true Light, which gives light to every person, was coming into the world. 겸손히 하나님의 인도하심과 보호하심을 구해야 합니다. 아르타크셀크세스 황제 ( 아닥사스다 왕 ) 때에 에스라와 함께 바벨론에서 예루살렘으로 돌아온 사람들은 아하와 강가에서 금식하고 하나님 앞에서 자신을 낮추며 여행하는 동안 자기들을 인도하여 자기들의 자녀들과 자기들의 모든 소유물을 보호해 달라고 기도하였습니다 ( 에스라 8:1, 21, 현대인의 성경 ). 저는 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 (1) 우리가 하나님 앞에서 우리 자신을 낮춰야 한다는 것과 (2) 하나님의 인도하심을 구해야 한다는 것과 (3) 하나님께서 우리 자녀들과 우리의 모든 소유물을 보호해 달라고 기도해야 한다는 교훈을 받습니다 .
