We are taught that we must become upright people who, in God’s sight, are blameless and fully keep His commandments. “In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly” [(Modern Translation: “When Herod was king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah of the division of Abijah, and his wife Elizabeth also came from the family of Aaron. They were righteous before God and faithfully kept all the Lord’s commandments and regulations without fault”)] (Luke 1:5–6). 게으른 자의 특징 [ 잠언 26 장 13-16 절 말씀 묵상 ] 저는 개인적으로 우리 그리스도인들에게는 부족한 것들이 많다고 생각합니다 . 만일 그 중에 세 가지를 말하라고 한다면 저는 헌신도 (commitment) 와 간절함 (earnestness or desperateness) 과 긴박감 (sense of urgency) 을 말하겠습니다 . 주로 1 세 어른들이 그들의 자녀들인 2 세들에 대해서 말할 때에 " 헌신도 " 가 부족하다고들 말하십니다 . 그런데 그것은 1 세 어른들 뿐만 아니라 2 세를 목양하는 2 세 목사님도 그리 말하더군요 . 그러나 저의 생각은 헌신도가 부족한 것인 꼭 2 세 형제 , 자매들의 문제만은 아니라고 생각합니다 . 이것은 1 세나 1.5 세나 우리 모두의 문제라고 생각합니다 . 대체적으로 우리 모든 그리스도인들이 헌신도가 빈약하다고 생각합니다 . 헌신도 뿐만 아니라 우리 그리스도인들에게는 “ 간절함 ” 도 많이 부족합니다 . 지금 우리는 하나님을 간절히 찾고 있지 않습니다 . 얼마 전 새벽기도회 때 스바냐 1 장에서 3 장까지 말씀을 읽다가 1 장 6 절에 제 시선이 좀 멈췄었습니다 : " 여호와를 배반하고 따르지 아니한 자들과 여호와를 찾지도 아니하며 구하지도 아니한 자들을 멸절하리라 . “ 하나님께서 하나님의 날에 유다 백성들을 심판하시겠다는 말씀 중에 하나님을 찾지도 아니하고 구하지도 아니한 자들을 멸절하시겠다는 말씀에 ...
