A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. In order to save fallen humanity, God first comes to us, sends His Son, and sends the Holy Spirit. He is the “missionary God” who sends. 하나님 보시기에는 다 큰 계명입니다. 저는 하나님께서 주신 10 계명 중에 " 너는 나 외에는 다른 신들을 네게 두지 말라 ..." 는 제 1 계명이 제일 큰 계명인 줄 알고 있었습니다 ( 출 20:3). 그래서 저는 하나님께서는 우상 숭배의 죄를 제일 싫어하신다고 생각했었습니다 . 그런데 이번 주 새벽기도회 때 마태복음 5 장 19 절인 " 그러므로 누구든지 이 계명 중 지극히 작은 것 하나라도 버리고 또 그같이 사람을 가르치는 자는 천국에서 지극히 작다 일컬음을 받을 것이료 ..." 란 말씀을 묵상하고 설교하다가 이러한 생각이 들었습니다 . 사람이 보기에는 큰 계명이 있고 " 지극히 작은 " 계명이 있을지라도 하나님 보시기에는 다 큰 계명인 것 같다는 생각입니다 . 이러한 저의 생각에 근거는 하나님이 주신 10 계명 중에 제 1 계명이 우상을 숭배하지 말라는 계명이라면 제 10 계명인 " 네 이웃의 집을 탐내지 말라 네 이웃의 아내나 그의 남종이나 그의 여종이나 그의 소나 그의 나귀나 무릇 네 이웃의 소유를 탐내지 말라 " ( 출 20:17) 는 계명도 " 우상 숭배 " 이기 때문입니다 ( 골 3:5 - " 탐심은 우상 숭배니라 ").
