믿지 않을 때에 모르고 한 짓 원정까지 와서 군중들을 선동하며 소란을 피우는 예수 그리스도의 복음과 복음 전파자의 대적자들의 열심을 생각할 때 사울이 생각났습니다 ( 사도행전 17:13).   사울은 교회를 열심으로 박해를 했었는데 그것은 그가 예수 그리스도를 믿지 않을 때에 모르고 한 짓이었습니다 ( 빌립보서 3:6; 디모데전서 1:13, 현대인의 성경 ).   십자가상에서의 예수님의 기도가 생각납니다 : " ' 아버지 , 저 사람들을 용서해 주십시오 .   저들은 자기들이 하는 일을 모르고 있습니다 "( 누가복음 23:34, 현대인의 성경 ).
