For some of us, it’s been a while. In our hard-working, highly productive culture, we can sometimes feel like exhausted swimmers swept downstream in a fast-moving river, fighting to keep our heads above water, gasping for air. We get up early and stay up late. We never waste a minute. Our schedule is full, running here, running there, running late, running to catch up, running on empty, until we collapse in utter exhaustion. Underneath the satisfaction of being hard-working, hard-playing people is a weariness that’s desperate for the pace to relent so we can rest and recharge. Deep down, we’re dying to slow down and take a break. We keep telling ours...
왜 사람이 변질되는 것일까요? 왜 사람은 변질되는 것일까요 ? 리브가의 오빠인 라반은 처음에는 베푸는 사람이었고 하나님께 순종했었습니다 ( 창 24:31-34, 50-51). 그런데 야곱의 장인인 라반은 나중에는 욕심이 많은 사람으로 변질되었습니다 (31:7, 14-16, 41-43). 그 원인이 뭘까요 ? 저는 그 원인을 창세기 30 장 27, 30 절이라 생각합니다 : " 라반이 그 ( 야곱 ) 에게 이르되 여호와께서 너로 말미암아 내게 복 주신 줄을 내가 깨달았노니 ... 내가 ( 야곱이 ) 오기 전에는 외삼촌 ( 라반 ) 의 소유가 적더니 번성하여 떼를 이루었으니 내 발이 이르는 곳마다 여호와께서 외삼촌에게 복을 주셨나이다 ...." 즉 , 라반이 변질된 원인은 소유가 번성했기 때문이라 생각합니다 . 좀더 정확하게 얘기하자면 , 그는 하나님께서 야곱으로 말미암아 주신 물질의 복을 겸손히 누릴 수 있는 신앙과 성품이 없었기 때문이라 생각합니다 . 주님안에서 꾸준히 변화되지 않는 자는 재물의 풍부함으로 말미암아 변질될 수 밖에 없습니다 .
